Wall object in quarter sawn oak.
In this piece i've been experimenting with the use of different coulours in one piece. When the lights are low the blue looks almost black just like the front of the piece. However when light shines on the sides this blue becomes more apparent. This is also the case with the centre of the piece where a subtle red glow may apear with certain lighting conditions.

Black and Blue
Wood is a wonderful and natural material. It will always change colour over time slightly. Do not place an object in a spot where it will be in direct sunlight, this can result in an unbalanced or too much colour change in the wood.
The outside and back of this object is finished with an oil and can simply be wept with a soft (slightly damp) cloth if nececarry.
