Stay where you are whilst you watch this spinning top dance on the soft platter of wood. Rest, focus, contemplate, breath as the top sways around and slowly comes to a stop.
A playful and at the same time silent or contemplative act, to turn and watch.
To be used on your desk in the office, on the coffee table, or even by your bedside.
The platter is almost like a little pillow, it is based on a discarded piece by Maria van Kesteren that I treasure in my workshop.
Contemplay (in cherry and rowan)
Wood is a wonderful and natural material. It will always change colour over time slightly. Do not place an object in a spot where it will be in direct sunlight, this can result in an unbalanced or too much colour change in the wood.
This platter has no finish, this gives a lovely natural feel to this piece. It is a bit more prone to stains however.
Do not soak or place in dishwasher. Instead use a cloth to whipe when necessary.
