From a distance a minimal object with a plain surface. When viewed up close the distinct ‘quarter sawn’ London plane shows off its medullary rays giving it an almost snake skin appearance.
In certain light conditions a slight red glow can appear in the centre of the piece. This is caused by a red paint on the back.
